One individual has died and another five persons have sustained injuries in a clash between two groups reported in Peliyagoda.

The injured have been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital and the Ragama Teaching Hospital.

A 42 year old resident of Pethiyagoda, Kelaniya passed away after being admitted to hospital.

Police said the group had clashed with clubs assaulting one another over a personal dispute.

The Peliyagoda Police is conducting further investigations.
