COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The official ceremony to commence work for the year 2023 will be held at the Presidential Secretariat premises.
The ceremony is scheduled to be held at 9am tomorrow.
The Ministry of Public Administration said directives have been issued to conduct the programme at all state institutions concurrently to the main ceremony.
The Public Administration Ministry noted that singing the National Anthem after hoisting the National Flag, observing two-minute silence to commemorate the war heroes and others who sacrificed their lives for the country and reading aloud the Oath of Public Servants should also be done.
It added a brief motivational speech must be delivered on the requirement of committed contribution of the public service to achieve the government’s policy and action plan to counter the present challenges in the year 2023.
