COLOMBO (NewsRadio); General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Sagala Kariyawasam today rejected all claims that a request has been made to re-appoint Mahinda Rajapaksa as the Prime Minister.
Speaking during a media briefing held in Colombo today, MP Kariyawasam said the SLPP has not forwarded a request to President Ranil Wickremesinghe to re-appoint Mahinda Rajapaksa as the Premier.
Several claims were made on mainstream and social media in the past few days about a move to swear in Mahinda Rajapaksa as the Prime Minister in place of Dinesh Gunawardena.
