COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The Department of Examinations says authorities have informed that power cuts will not be enforced during the 2022 GCE Advanced Level Examination period.

The Department said it received the confirmation following a request made by Commissioner-General of Examinations Amith Jayasundara.

The Examinations Commissioner-General had made a request from the Ceylon Electricity Board not to impose daily power cut while students sitting the 2022 GCE Advanced Level Examination.

The 2022 Advanced Level Examination is scheduled to be worked off at 2,200 examination centres from the 23rd of January to the 17th of February.

At present, the CEB imposes two-hour-and-30- minute power cuts daily.
