Permission has been granted for airlines to carry fully vaccinated passengers with no limitations on the number of passengers per flight.
Issuing a statement, the Civil Aviation Authority said the directive will apply for fully vaccinated passengers administered with the relevant doses 14 days prior to the flight, adding that the vaccination certificate is mandatory.
The statement said it will apply to passengers arriving for hotel quarantine and government quarantine.
It added there will be no limitation of passenger numbers per flight for passengers arriving via the Sri Lanka Tourism Bio Bubble as well.
However, the passengers must be carried in compliance with applicable directives of the Ministry of Health and the CAA, in effect at the time of carriage of the passengers.
Furthermore, up to a maximum of 75 passengers per flight are permitted for passengers who have not been vaccinated or are partially vaccinated, and those who are not arriving via the Sri Lanka Tourism Bio Bubble.
