Minister of Energy Udaya Gammanpila says there is no fuel shortage in the country.
Taking to his Twitter account, the Minister noted before anyone else, he would communicate to the people if such an issue was prevalent in Sri Lanka.
Speaking to media yesterday the Convener of the Jathika Sevaka Samgamaya, affiliated to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation, Ananda Palitha said stocks of diesel would suffice for the next 11 days, while stocks of petrol would suffice for 10 days.
The Minister sent out the tweet in response to the claims.
