COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The All Ceylon Bakery Owners’ Association says it is not in a position to reduce the price of bread at present.
President of the Association NK Jayawardena noted that if the price of an egg is reduced to Rs.35, then they will consider reducing prices of bakery items other than bread.
He said he believes with the eggs imported from India reaching the bakery owners, the current short supply will be solved in about a week.
NK Jayawardena stressed that however they will not revise the prices of bakery items based on the recent fuel price reduction.
