COLOMBO (NewsRadio); Sri Lanka and Thailand have agreed to hold the next round of discussions on the proposed Free Trade Agreement in June.

The fourth round of talks on the proposed Sri Lanka-Thailand Free Trade Agreement was held in Colombo from the 27th to the 29th of March.

The President presenting the progress of the discussions to the Cabinet of Ministers for approval has informed that both parties have agreed to complete the negotiations and prepare the relevant agreement for signature by the first quarter of 2024, and to hold the next round of negotiations from the 27th to the 28th of June in Colombo.

The matters presented pertaining to the Sri Lanka-Thailand PTA were taken into consideration by the Cabinet of Ministers.
