COLOMBO (NewsRadio); Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena says a new circular will be issued regarding the dress code of state employees.
Speaking during the committee stage debate of the 2023 Budget in Parliament today, Prime Minister Gunawardena said the circular will be issued amidst confusion over the dress code of teachers.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Public Administration said from next week, all state employees will be required to report to work according to the recommended dress code as per the relevant institution’s code.
The Public Administration Ministry will modify the circular issued during the COVID-19 crisis in relation to the approved dress code for state employees.
During the crisis, approval was granted state employees to report to work in an appropriate dress code.
However, a new circular will be issued detailing the dress code of state employees.
