Net foreign inflow to the CSE hits a 10-year high

The net foreign inflow to the Colombo Stock Market in 2022 has increased to Rs.24.6 billion.

COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The net foreign inflow to the Colombo Stock Market in 2022 has increased to Rs.24.6 billion.

This is the highest figure in 10 years and achieved despite the country is dealing with an economic crisis.

The CSE said in a statement that the new figures were released following an accumulation of Rs.7 billion in December.

Accordingly, the Rs.24.6 billion mark surpasses the Rs.22.7 billion recorded in 2013.

The best ever net foreign inflow to the Colombo Stock Market was recorded in 2012 which was Rs.38.6 billion.

The CSE is recording a net inflow after 2017 while last year it recorded a foreign outflow of Rs.53 billion.
