A mother has given birth to sextuplets for the first time in Sri Lanka, at a private hospital in Colombo early this morning.
The sextuplets were delivered through a c-section between 12.16 and 12.18am.
The 31-year-old mother gave birth to three girls and three boys.
Hospital sources said the mother and infants are in good health.
The parents are reportedly residents of Colombo.
