COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The National Election Commission is scheduled to convene once again on Tuesday to discuss the impending Local Authorities Election.
The Commission initially announced that the Local Authorities Election will be held on the 9th of March.
However, it was rescheduled due to the delay in printing ballot papers and lack of funds.
The Commission then announced that the polls will take place on the 25th of April.
The Commission held several rounds of discussions to conduct the election. It has said the Treasury has not responded positively to its request for additional funds to make preparations for the election.
