COLOMBO (NewsRadio); Minister of Labour and Foreign Employment Manusha Nanayakkara expects another group from the opposition to join the government next week.

Minister Nanayakkara said the crossovers will be evident when Parliament convenes next week for the first time since the Sinhala and Tamil New Year.

The Minister noted that those who are crossing over are not necessarily required to be given Ministerial portfolios.

He said while some may receive Ministerial posts and committee chairman posts, those who are crossing over are looking to support the state governance at a critical time for the country.

Minister Manusha Nanayakkara stressed that the opposition is welcome to support the government, since it is not about supporting a particular party but the country at this crucial juncture.

Parliament is next scheduled to convene on Tuesday.
