The Ministry of Health says anyone requiring proof of vaccination in the form of a certificate to leave overseas, can obtain one from the nearest office of the Medical Officer of Health.
Speaking during a media briefing, Deputy Director-General of Health Services Specialist Dr. Hemantha Herath said anyone requiring proof of vaccination for overseas education purposes can also obtain the certification from the nearest MOH office.
An individual must present the relevant vaccination card, the National Identity Card, Passport and proof of reasons for travel to the MOH.
Dr. Herath assured a computer-generated certificate will be provided by the officer once all documentation is submitted, adding it could be used as official proof of a vaccination.
