Microsoft is investigating an outage that has left thousands of users in Sri Lanka and across the globe unable to access the website’s services, including Teams and Outlook.

A large number of users in Sri Lanka took to social media to report the issue.

Downdetector.com, which tracks outages through a range of sources including user reports, showed there were around 2,341 incidents of people reporting issues with Outlook in the UK – and 1,006 with Teams.

It also reported more than 3,700 incidents of people reporting issues with Microsoft Teams in India.

Microsoft tweeted: “We’re investigating issues impacting multiple Microsoft 365 services. More info can be found in the admin center under MO502273.”
