COLOMBO (NewsRadio); Minister of Health Keheliya Rambukwella says the prices of medicine registered with the National Medicines Regulatory Authority will be reduced by 16 per cent from the 15th of June.
Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said the decision was taken considering the appreciation of the Sri Lankan Rupee against the US Dollar.
The Health Minister noted that following extensive discussions with relevant authorities, the decision was taken to reduce the prices of NMRA drugs that are regulated by a price control.
