COLOMBO (NewsRadio); An individual has been killed following a dispute between two persons under the influence in Norochcholai last night.
The Police Media Division said a person who was under the influence had attacked the deceased individual with an iron rod following a personal dispute.
A 54-year-old man from Norochcholai has been arrested over the incident.
The deceased was a 35-year-old man, a resident of Mampuriya.
The arrested individual is scheduled to be produced before the Puttalam Magistrate’s Court today.
The Norochcholai Police is conducting further investigations over the incident.
