COLOMBO (NewsRadio); A total of 37 Malaria positive patients have been detected last year in Sri Lanka.

According to the Malaria Control Campaign, vectors are those who returned to the country after working overseas, gem merchants and soldiers deployed on Peace Keeping missions.

Accordingly, there is a rise in cases.

Meanwhile, the Malaria Control Campaign Day falls on the 25th of April in Sri Lanka.

The Ministry of Health to coincide the day has organized 8,200 awareness programs to educate school students on preventive measures and mitigate the spread of Malaria and other mosquito-borne diseases.
