Two suspects have been arrested over the assault on the Chairman and Executive Director of the Maga Neguma Project.
Police said the two suspects were arrested by the Peliyagoda Police this evening (2).
The 49 and 57 year old individuals are residents of Beliatta.
One suspect was identified as the President of the Maga Neguma Drivers Association while the other suspect is a member of the Association.
A complaint was lodged that the Chairman and the Executive Director of the Maga Neguma Project were assaulted during the event held to mark the new year at the Maga Neguma Road Construction Equipment Company down Nuge Road, Peliyagoda.
