COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The luxury cruise ship “Ocean Odyssey”, with 108 tourists from the United States has arrived at the Colombo Harbour.
The cruise ship arrived from Cochin, India and will remain in Sri Lanka till the 21st of December.
Minister of Ports, Shipping and Aviation Nimal Siripala de Silva attended the ceremony organised at the Colombo Harbour to welcome the passengers onboard the luxury cruise ship.
The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Aviation said the 108 high-spending US passengers onboard the “Ocean Odyssey” will leave for Trincomalee tomorrow.
The tourists who arrived in the country today will disembark and visit several sites in and around Colombo, Kurunegala, Habarana, Sigiriya and Trincomalee before boarding the cruise ship next week.
The “Ocean Odyssey”, is 105 meters long and 18.5 meters wide and is the latest luxury cruise ship to arrive in Sri Lanka in the past few weeks.
Several cruise ships including “Mein Schiff 5” brought in tourists to the country in the past few weeks.
