COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The Department of Meteorology says the low-pressure area in the southeast Bay of Bengal and the adjoining North Andaman sea is very likely to intensify into a depression by tomorrow.
The Met Department said it is very likely to move west- northwestward and move closer to the Northern coast of Sri Lanka by Sunday and Monday.
It added strong winds about 40-50kmph can be expected at times over the Northern, North-Central and Eastern provinces.
A few showers will occur in the Northern and Eastern provinces.
Mainly fair weather will prevail elsewhere over the country. Meanwhile, misty condition can be expected in Sabaragamuwa, Uva and Central provinces during the morning.
