COLOMBO (NewsRadio); A 24-hour strike has been announced by the Locomotive Operating Engineers’ Association from midnight today.
The Locomotive Operating Engineers’ Association said the strike will be staged based on five demands.
Meanwhile, trade unions of several other sectors have announced that they will launch a trade union action against the tax amendment introduced by the government recently.
Accordingly, a number of unions attached to health, electricity, education, ports and banking will be on strike tomorrow.
