Member of a youth organisation Lahiru Weerasekera says those engaged in the people’s struggle will not accept Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe even as the temporary President of the country.
Weerasekera speaking to NewsRadio said the people’s struggle will continue until Premier Wickremesinghe steps down.
He said the appointment of Ranil Wickremesinghe as the Prime Minister by former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, was a means of protecting the Rajapaksa’s.
Weerasekera said Premier Wickremesinghe is in office not through a people’s mandate.
He called for the Prime Minister’s immediate resignation.
