Trade unionist Ananda Palitha says trade unions will resort to all means possible if the President and government fail to step down heeding to the demands of the public.
Speaking to NewsRadio, Palitha said trade unions from all sectors including the state service, banks, health, ports, electricity, water, education, postal, and estate workers are engaging in a successful trade union action.
He said only three trains out of 82 were in operation today adding the train services too will be halted within the day.
The trade unionist said Ceylon Petroleum Corporation employees did not engage in the token strike since the government could resort to laying fault on the union action for any fuel shortages or distribution issues.
