The Association of Health Professionals says certain decisions taken by the government through the 2022 Budget have created a number of issues within the state service.
The Association says the government should explain the move to increase the retirement age of state sector employees to 65 years.
Ravi Kumudesh said preventing state sector employees from retiring until 65 years is problematic.
He said it is concerning whether there are hidden agenda behind the move.
Ravi Kumudesh questioned whether the government has curtailed the pension payments of state sector employees who are hoping to retire at 57.
He said the government should clarify whether state sector employees should wait until 65 years of age to receive their pensions even if they retire at the age of 55 or 57 years.
On a separate note, Ravi Kumudesh said if they are prevented from staging protests to win their demands, they are prepared to withdraw from services and remain indoors.
He said they have other means to stage demonstrations while adhering to health guidelines.
Ravi Kumudesh said the government cannot enforce quarantine guidelines only regarding demonstrations.
He said they will resort to other measures if the government continues to disregard their concerns.
