Minister of Energy Gamini Lokuge says there will be no queues at filling stations after tomorrow and Thursday.
Speaking to media following the weekly Cabinet of Ministers meeting held last evening Minister Gamini Lokuge noted there are sufficient stocks of fuel at present.
He said fuel that was imported for USD 35 is now USD 52 adding however a decision was not reached to increase fuel prices thus far.
The Minister claimed however if the situation continues prices may have to be increased. Minister Lokuge further said there will be no need to impose power cuts by this week.
Minister Lokuge added permission was granted for the Ceylon Electricity Board to bring down fuel as well.
The Minister of Energy said required stocks of fuel were also provided to the CEB.
