The opposition has requested the Prime Minister to reveal the economic plan for the country.
Parliamentarian M Velu Kumar charged that for the first time in the country’s history a litre of petrol has increased to Rs.400.
The MP speaking to media in Kandy said the increase in fuel prices and other essential goods is an indication that the Prime Minister lacks a stringent economic programme.
The Parliamentarian questioned when queues will be brought to an end and the solution to queues.
Commenting on relief programmes that are due to be enforced, MP Velu Kumar said concessions should be provided in a just manner.
He called for the public who are already angered to not be aggravated further through government actions.
