The opposition says it will be compelled to overthrow the present administration through other means, if the government is unwilling to listen to the demands of the public.

Speaking during a media briefing in Colombo today, Parliamentarian Harin Fernando said the entire country, including the Maha Sanga, professionals, youth and students are protesting against the government, at present.

He said there are several protests being staged at present and in support of such demonstrations, the opposition will also hold a protest march tomorrow.

MP Fernando noted that the protest march will commence from Kandy and will reach Colombo along the main road.

He said the protest march will be apolitical and therefore all citizens can be part of it. MP Fernando added that they will also stage a massive rally on the 1st of May.

The Parliamentarian noted that the protest march is being staged to display the strength of the opposition.

He said the opposition will not rest until, the current government is toppled.
