Parliamentarian Harsha de Silva claims the inability of the present administration is the cause of all issues faced by the country, including the economic crisis.
Speaking during a media briefing today, MP de Silva said although not yet felt by the public, the current economic crisis in the country is very severe.
The Parliamentarian said the issue goes far beyond the shortages of fertiliser, milk powder and gas. He said the value of the Sri Lankan rupee has massively depreciated.
Furthermore, MP de Silva said the opposition possesses the necessary plans to save the country from the economic crisis adding it will 100% confirm it to the public.
Responding to the statement made in Parliament by Minister of Finance Basil Rajapaksa claiming the main opposition had not been given any appointments to representatives of the International Monetary Fund to hold discussions, the MP questioned why must the opposition be responsible for holding discussions with the IMF.
He urged the government to resign and hand over power to the opposition if the present administration is incapable.
He said they have plans which they are more than capable of implementing, connections with international communities and capable individuals such MPs Eran Wickramaratne and Kabir Hashim and himself.
