Minister Wimal Weerawansa says unpatriotic decisions related to the Trincomalee Oil Tank Farm were reached by a government led by the United National Party and not the present government.
Speaking to media after an event today, Minister Weerawansa said he is prepared to commend the positive decisions reached by the government and will continue to criticise what is negative and harmful.
He said all Oil Tanks were first handed over to India during the government led by former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
The Minister claimed certain Ministers of the former good governance government were not allowed to enter the premises during its term.
He noted that the agreement signed on Thursday, vests 90% of tanks with the Sri Lankan government.
Minister Weerawansa said any flaw in the agreement can be highlighted.
