The water supply has been disrupted in several areas in Colombo and suburbs.
The National Water Supply and Drainage Board attributed the water cut to power disruptions reported across the country.
The Ministry of Power said the island-wide power outage was reported at around 11.45am due to a breakdown in the transmission lines.
The Ministry said necessary steps have been taken to restore the power supply promptly.
Litro Gas Ltd. says it is expecting to pay USD 7 million for two ships of gas tomorrow.
