The National Trade Union Coordinating Centre says the struggle to overthrow the government will commence if concessions are not provided to the public.
Convenor Wasantha Samarasinghe addressing a media briefing said trade union action will be resorted to on the 15th of June in district and institutional levels.
He charged that Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has stepped in to tax people as a means to address the issues of the Rajapaksa’s.
He said people are advised to work from home, working days have been reduced, and the public has been asked to use other modes of transport adding that very soon the government will inform that the entire country has been sold.
Samarasinghe urged the government to refrain from speaking of their personal issues within Parliament adding that they are testing the people’s patience.
