Prices of vegetables in the Dambulla Economic Centre, that saw a drastic increase last week, have dropped significantly as of today.
Vendors attribute the drop in prices and lack of wholesale sales to businessmen not visiting the Economic Centre owing to the fuel crisis.
A kilogram of beans that was sold at Rs.300 last week has reduced to Rs.100 today while the price of carrots reduced to Rs.110, tomatoes to Rs.60, beetroot to Rs.100, and leaks to Rs.80.
