Secretary of State of the United States Antony Blinken has informed Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe that the US stands ready to work with Sri Lanka during these economically and politically challenging times.
The matter was conveyed to Prime Minister Wickremesinghe by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken during a telephone conversation.
He has said the US in close coordination with the International Monetary Fund and the international community will extend its support to Sri Lanka.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe says the amount of remittances sent through official channels has seen an increase.
