Trade unions will engage in a strike action, until authorities decide to terminate the agreement to develop the Trincomalee Oil Tank Farm which was signed yesterday.
Trade unionist Ananda Palitha speaking to NewsRadio said the protests will be launched focusing on work sites and main offices.
He claimed the agreement will pave the way for foreign forces to violate national security, adding it is a betrayal of the nation.
Palitha stressed history is repeating itself, similar to when predecessors handed over Sri Lanka to the British through an agreement.
He said protests will be launched in Trincomalee and Colombo opposite Parliament and some Ministries.
Ananda Palitha said the agreement will be more beneficial to India.
He added no USD was generated through the deal which he said has been granted on freehold.
