Teachers unions charge that students sitting the 2021 GCE Ordinary Level Examination have faced numerous difficulties due to the adverse weather yesterday.
The Ceylon Teachers Service Union said certain students were unable to face the examination due to answer scripts getting wet.
Speaking to NewsRadio, Secretary of the Union Mahinda Jayasinghe said authorities must take into consideration yesterday’s adverse weather and provide a just solution.
He noted art students faced inconveniences due to their artwork not drying.
Jayasinghe added students faced difficulties in reaching examination centres as well.
He stated a letter has been addressed to the Commissioner-General of Examinations regarding the difficulties faced by the students.
