The Samagi Joint Trade Union Alliance says numerous issues have arisen in many sectors owing to the fuel crisis.

Secretary Ananda Palitha speaking to NewsRadio said thousands of professionals have been severely affected.

He charged that patients, health workers, teachers, students, fishermen, farmers, and those of other professions lack fuel to report to work.

Palitha said the three-wheeler trade and many other industries are dependent on fuel, adding that all livelihoods have been gravely affected.

He claimed that Lanka IOC is indicating the breakdown of locations to which it deploys fuel daily, and charged that CEYPETCO instead is engaged in illegal dealings by handing over fuel directly through the Kolonnawa Oil Terminal.
