The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a proposal to grant the contract to import petrol to a company from the United Arab Emirates for a period of eight months.
Accordingly, the company is expected to import 1.8 million barrels of petrol from the 15th of February to the 14th of October.
The Cabinet paper in this regard has been presented by Minister of Energy Udaya Gammanpila.
