Samagi Jana Balawegaya Parliamentarian Mujibur Rahman says the increase in fuel prices this morning is a clear indication that the government has failed to grant concessions to the public.

Speaking at a media briefing, MP Rahman said inflation in Sri Lanka has increased from six to 32 percent.

The Parliamentarian said the government of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has failed to address the economic difficulties of the people during the past two weeks since forming a government.

He charged that with the increase in petrol and diesel prices, the prices of all essential goods will also increase.

MP Rahman said cost of living in Sri Lanka has reached unbearable levels.
