Two girls have drowned in the Vilbawa Lake in Kurunegala.
Police said four girls had met with an accident while bathing in the lake last afternoon.
Area residents had rescued the group while three children who were in critical condition were admitted to the Kurunegala Hospital.
Two of them have succumbed.
The deceased were identified as a 13 and 14-year-old, who were residents of Kurunegala.
Litro Gas Ltd. says they are unable to distribute gas cylinders in Sri Lanka for the 6th consecutive day.
