Two brothers have been arrested while packaging Rs.70 million worth of heroin at a two-storied house in Alubomulla, Panadura.
The stock of heroin was seized during a joint operation conducted by the Bandaragama and Alubomulla Police Stations this afternoon.
The stock is reportedly owned by a leading drug dealer known as Panadura Salindu who is currently operating his racket from overseas.
Police said the suspects are aged 25 and 30 years.
Island-wide curfew will be imposed at 8pm today (16) and will remian in place till 5am tomorrow (17).
