Several individuals have been arrested across the island for the possession of large quantities of fuel without a license.
A 37-year-old was arrested in Makumbura with 1,350 litres of diesel.
He is due to be produced before the Homagama Magistrate’s Court today.
Police said a 39-year-old from Matara was arrested with 800 litres of diesel.
