Three-wheeler owners have reached a decision to increase three-wheeler fares in line with the increase in fuel prices.
Speaking to NewsRadio, Chairman of the All-Island Three-Wheeler Drivers’ and Owners’ Association Sudil Jayaruk said the fare for the first kilometre will increase to Rs.90 while each additional kilometre will cost Rs.80.
Jayaruk said they reached a decision considering passengers and in order protect their industry although the increase in fares is not sufficient.
He said they will observe the situation adding they will reach the necessary decisions without inconveniencing the public.
