Rev. Father Cyril Gamini charges that the truth regarding the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks is being concealed.

Rev. Father Gamini speaking at a media briefing in Colombo today said questioned if anyone part of the government was involved in the attacks.

He claimed they wrote to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to investigate certain claims that were revealed in Parliament including a statement by the Former Attorney General Dappula de Livera regarding a conspiracy behind the bombings but to no avail.

The Rev. also said they lodged a complaint with the Criminal Investigation Department into a statement by Minister Prasanna Ranatunga that Former President Maithripala Sirisena should be held responsible for the attacks, adding that investigations have not been initiated by the CID or the government.

He called on the Minister in charge of the Police to issue directives to investigate the complaints.

Rev. Father Cyril Gamini on a separate note said the government has continued to make false statements and questioned who is responsible for the gas leak explosions, and the fertiliser crisis.

He also questioned why public funds are being utilised to pay compensation to the fertiliser ship from China.

Rev. Father Gamini said the truth behind the dollar crisis must be revealed.
