The Colombo Fort Magistrate’s court has imposed travel bans on 21 activists and protesters including Dhaniz Ali.
The Magistrate imposed the order based on a request made by the Colombo Fort Police.
Dhaniz Ali who stormed into the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation premises on the 13th of July was arrested on board a flight at the Bandaranaike International Airport, while attempting to leave for Dubai.
He has been remanded till the 5th of August.
Several other protesters are accused of damaging public property and various other charges.
Meanwhile, earlier today social media activist Pathum Kerner was arrested by the Colombo Crimes Division in relation to a protest held at the Polduwa junction in Battaramulla on the 13th of July.
He is accused of leading the protest, removing the roadblocks set-up at the Polduwa junction for the protection of Parliament and behaving in an unruly manner.
Pathum Kerner was summoned to the CCD on the 18th of July.
However, he did not appear before the CCD on the said day citing health issues.
