General Manager of Railways Dhammika Jayasundara says the Ministry of Transport concealed accurate information from the President during a progress review meeting.

When inquired by NewsRadio, Jayasundara said an association was attempting to publicise misconceptions by distorting information regarding Sri Lanka Railways.

Meanwhile Dhammika Jayasundara commenting on the locomotives and carriages said the Railway Department has been instructed to deploy the relevant locomotives and carriages in future as well.

He said orders were placed for compartments in 2015 which arrived in Sri Lanka in 2020 and 2021.

Jayasundara claimed seven engines and 63 compartments were deployed for operations.
