Sri Lanka Railways says train services will continue as usual today following the decision to lift Police curfew at 8am.
Train operations were halted within the Colombo District owing to the Police curfew that was in place.
Meanwhile, trade unions of the Sri Lanka Transport Board also decided to suspend the strike action that was launched. Therefore, public transportation will continue to function as usual.
The Police curfew imposed in the Negombo, Kelaniya, Nugegoda, Mount Lavinia, Colombo North, Colombo Central and Colombo South Police divisions as of 9pm yesterday was lifted at 8am.
