Train operations will be affected severely tomorrow due to the mass demonstration set to be launched by trade unions attached to several sectors.
The Railway Trade Union Alliance has announced that it will also be part of tomorrow’s demonstration organised to demand the resignation of the incumbent government.
Co-convener of the Union SP Vithanage said a number of railway unions will withdraw from services tomorrow.
He claimed to support the people’s struggle; engineers, drivers, guards, station masters and technical persons will withdraw from services.
SP Vithanage noted train operations will come to a completely halt due to tomorrow’s strike.
