Three-wheeler operators say attention has been drawn towards reducing fares in line with the fuel price revision.
The President of the All-Ceylon Three-Wheeler Owners’ Association, Sudil Jayaruk said they are not in a position to reduce the fare for the first km which is Rs.100 but are looking at the possibility of reducing the Rs.100 fare to Rs.90 which is charged from the second km onwards.
The government yesterday reduced petrol and diesel prices.
Accordingly, the price of a litre of 92-octane petrol was reduced by Rs.20 and will be sold at Rs.450 per litre.
The Lanka Indian Oil Company announced that in line with the decision taken by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation, the LIOC will also reduce petrol and diesel prices.
