Leader of the National People’s Power Anura Kumara Dissanayaka says if the government has decided to go to the International Monetary Fund, it should be mindful of the conditions the IMF will impose on the country.
He said the IMF will direct the government to lift the import restriction, allow the rupee to float and also take measures to minimize the losses incurred by state intuitions.
MP Dissanayaka said the government should reach an agreement with the IMF only after reviewing the condition which should be beneficial to the country.
